"New Legislation on Future Energy Jobs, Lead & Water Pollutants, and Federal Policies"

The conference will focus on three issues concerning (1) recent legislation on lead testing and how water utilities are meeting the challenge, (2) changing perspectives on energy from a national outlook, and (3) the implementation and impact of the Future Energy Jobs Bill.
Session 1 examines the history of Public Act 99-0922 involving lead testing, the requirements for new water suppliers, and how water utilities are welcoming the challenges and opportunities.
In Session 2 Craig Glazer, VP of Federal Government Policy with PJM will speak on recent changes in DC and with some national regulatory agencies.
Sessions 3 & 4 will examine the benefits and opportunities of the Future Energy Jobs Bill. Session 3 focuses on various renewable programs, IPA planning and development, the effects on alternative energy suppliers, and the implementation of a zero emissions standard. Session 4 will discuss the energy efficiency measures, and the effects on consumers, businesses, and industrial electric consumers.
